Epic Dance Showcase Convention Policies

BE AN EPIC DANCER

Any petite, junior, teen, or senior soloist or members of a duet/trio who scores a Diamond at any of our regionals, will automatically be considered an "EPIC DANCER" and will be eligible to participate in our National Opening Number, schedule permitting!!! In addition, select "Epic Dancers" will be considered for assisting our esteemed choreographers during classes at Epic Conventions.

CHECK-IN

Check-in times will be sent via email to all participants, prior to the event. Student/Teacher wrist bands and observer bands will be available for purchase/pick-up before class begins each day. Wrist bands should be picked up by the person who registered the group. If that person will be unavailable, please let us know in advance.

NO VIDEO OR FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY

There is no video/flash photography allowed inside the ballrooms!!! Failure to comply to this rule will result in eviction from the ballroom. No exceptions!!!

NO FOOD OR DRINK

There is absolutely no food or drink allowed in the ballrooms, nor the lobby. Please bring bottled water only to class. Water will be provided daily in each ballroom as well.

WRIST BANDS

Wrist bands must be worn by all teachers, students and observers. No one will be allowed to enter a ballroom without the appropriate band. Bands will be checked upon entering each ballroom. Teachers have the freedom to dance or observe in ANY ballroom. Lost wrist bands cannot be replaced, so please keep your band on your wrist at all times!

REFUNDS

Epic Dance Showcase will not refund any fees unless we are responsible for the cancellation of the convention, at which time a credit will be issued.

INCENTIVES
FOR EVERY 10 PAYING STUDENTS REGISTERED, ONE TEACHER ATTENDS FREE OF CHARGE!

Your teacher must be entered in your registration along with your 10 students in order to receive this bonus! Teachers will receive gifts during check-in!!!

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT

Anyone registering and paying in full 30 days in advance, will receive an Early Bird Discount! Registration is allowed at the door, provided there is space available.

AGE CATEGORIES

Epic Dance Showcase recommends the following age limits for class, but it is up to the teacher’s discretion as to where to place their students. Mini/Petites 5-8 yrs, Tweens 9-12 yrs, Teen/Seniors 13 yrs and up (Teachers must be at least 18 yrs of age).

OBSERVER BANDS

Parents, siblings, and/or fans who aren't participating in class, may purchase an observer band and observe in ballrooms during class. Any child over the age of 3 will require an observer band. While we welcome everyone to enjoy the classes, please be respectful of the dancers, teachers and choreographers. Keep any talking to a minimum, don't obstruct the viewing of others, no food or drink allowed, and NO VIDEO OR FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY!

FACULTY

All faculty is scheduled to teach at each convention in every level. In the event one of our scheduled master teachers is not able to attend a convention, a teacher of comparable notoriety will be substituted.

BREAKS

There will be a 10-15 minute break between each one hour class. There will be a lunch break each day. These breaks will be noted on the schedule. Please remember, no food or drink is allowed in the hotel lobby or ballrooms!
